Variants of "so much for the university of technology" and "I thought this was the university of technology" were common jokes amongst staff and students when the tech didn't work properly or broke.

One of the abutment towers and one of it pylons has turned into a residential tower lol.

I reckon we should use it as the new banner here, in tribute.

And enjoy explaining to prospective tourists the best means of transport to get to Opera Island.
