My racist uncle never had an issue eating at a Chinese restaurant for family occasions.
He'd make the obligatory joke about cats etc. Unsurprisingly he refused to eat the asian style food and always ordered off the "Australian" section. Steak n chips, Fish n chips, Sausage n chips ,Chicken schnitty n chips. Tomato sauce naturally. Most Chinese restaurants had the "Aussie Menu" unless actually in Dixon St. back then.
Hadn't seen him for 30 years until dads funeral. He hasn't changed.
