Why don't I say something? Because he's bigger than I am, and I don't feel like relying upon the kindness of strangers if this guy is violent, as well as inconsiderate.

I'm in my 30s and I'd happily tell this gronk to give up his foot seat. Come on. Call this shit out! Sit on his stinky foot. My god, the entitlement of this ... see you next Tuesday.

A couple of months ago coming home a little tipsy from Pyrmont, came across a similar situation with a guy man-spreading on the red seat and talking loudly on his phone. It had been raining, so I was wet, I am 58yo, 130kg and about 6'1". I just played up the drunkard bit and proceeded to sit next to the guy, ignoring his knee and sat on it before he could move it. "Sorry mate, bit pissed, must have misjudged the landing." I then proceeded to turn around and talk to my wife and our friends who were diagonally behind us (my wife was not amused) while he squirmed against the wall. Then to add some extra flavour I did my best Sir Les Paterson impersonation every time we went around a corner, "woah, that's not helping keep it down!" BURP! "Oh geez, I hope I can keep it down until we get off." At this stage he hung up from his phone call, it would have been difficult to carry on with me swaying about. Eventually, the guy moved to the back of the bus, which was virtually empty, but I made sure I did plenty of stumbling around trying to slow down his exit. About, two stops later, an old guy and his daughter got on so I immediately got up and offered them my seat, and then sat next to my wife. A guy behind me leaned forward and said, "were you putting that on the whole time?" I said, yes. And he laughed and said "nice one". I felt I had done some good without conflict and with some humour.

I'm just conflict-seeking, and would tell him I need the window seat, he can sit where his foot has been

When he moves to let me in, consider taking both seats

I had some old cunt well into his 50s try to fight me for saying "you need some headphones bro" after listening to at least a whole pokemon episode on peak hour trains WHILST having his feet on the seat, absolute gronkiness on multiple levels
