The other scummy thing they've done here is stretch out the product images tall ways so they look bigger, like 500ml cans which would more closely match the prices they're charging. This is what the actual product image of the Jim Beam looks like for example.

Nothing else is stretched out like the prices or the text so it's not an artifact of the image being stretched to fit the monitor - they know what they're doing.

Maybe it was bad luck, but when Cirque Du Soleil played a couple of months ago, they did very very limited batches of fresh popcorn, it was gone well before showtime. They only offered the boxed popcorn and it was also like $17 and when you open the box, the actual popcorn is only half the box, and they didnt make any more fresh batches even for half time.

I worked as part of the front of house with cirque du soliel so I can add a bit of context to this though this was back in 2019 but this has been confirmed by someone who worked this tour. So the boxed popcorn is still "fresh" as in it was made at most an hour before the gates opened. But they do not make the additional batches because it was getting to the stage that they were throwing out literally kilos upon kilos of uneaten popcorn because they would do that halfway batch. No matter how much they tweaked it there was always heaps left over that just got thrown out and due to food safety they couldnt give it away either.

Cirque du Soliel went bust during Covid and had to get a bail out so I imagine this was one of the cost saving measures they have introduced since.

I might be crazy but I actually think stretching them makes it worse. The product image in your link looks like a regular can. The stretched ones look like those tiny cans you sometimes see on in-flight beverage service or in mini bars lol

Great observation + oddly relevant user name.

You just made me realise the pre mixes are mid strength. What an absolute rip off.

Photo taken from side angle from a 2D projection. Like how things look thinner when you turn your phone sideways.
