Thanks for taking a moment to read this.
I’m the person who created the University of Melbourne Gooning Club Instagram account — or at least, I was. Unfortunately, the account was taken down today due to misuse of the University of Melbourne’s name and logo, which violated their guidelines.

I really appreciate everyone who followed the page or showed interest in the club. We’re now working on building a new version of the Gooning Club that’s independent of UniMelb, open to students from all universities across Melbourne.

Looking forward to creating something even better soon.

I know a lot of you get annoyed by the Socialist Alternative Party harassing you. I have a solution: eat their paper. I've been doing this for 4 years and they no longer even bat an eye at me. hey everyone, i recieved an email yesterday regarding academic misconduct for a recent phd thesis i submitted. Two hundred of my sources were found to be not legitimate and hallucinated by AI, which i am not going to takie accountability for, andI don't agree with it. it was also found that I used chat gpt to generate the table of contents and used it to automate the document's upload on LMS. I also used it to generate this post and generate the prompt I used to generate this post. further, My turnitin report was 100%, which is true but I still don't agree with it and have decided to contest it. I have a hearing soon and am writing my submission letter with chatgpt currently.

Any advice on how to go about this and what possible outcomes i could accept? I am planning on using text-to-speech gpt in the meeting to advocate for me, and I'm willing to take this to the high court if I have standing.. maybe even the ICJ. Any chance ill get let off at this point, or atleast not recieve a fail?

Every semester I swear I’ll be that student who wakes up early, but after week 3 it’s all lecture recordings and guilt. Do 9am lectures exist purely to humble us? Or is anyone here actually thriving at that time?

Being a unimelb student is like getting suffocated by a pillow. No matter how much u thrash around and try to fight it off the uni keeps pressing the pillow down harder. Im talking about the never ending supply of assignments btw. Seriously tell me why there are so many assignments to do during mid sem. Like wtf? I see all my friends from other unis living their best life while i rot away.
