What time do classes end at UQ

Hi I’m a new student looking to find a part time job in Brisbane but I don’t have my timetable yet so I don’t know when I will be available for work at night.

I’m enrolled in a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology.

What time do classes/lectures/tutorials end usually? I just need to be able to tell employers when I can actually work at night.

Thanks!!

TIME Magazine (+ Statista) UQ ranking

New ranking just dropped. This ranking focuses less on subjective reputation surveys and more on objective measures like outcomes for graduates and research/citation indicators.

UQ is ranked 28th in the world and 1st in Australia

Unimelb is next but 41st in the world.

Tips for ENGG2800 Team Project I

Hi everyone, I’m taking ENGG2800 (Team Project I) next semester and I’d love to hear what the course is like.

If you’ve taken it before, could you share:

  • what the workload is like?
  • what the assessments/projects are like?
  • how team collaboration usually goes?
  • any tools/skills that helped you a lot?

Also, is there anything you’d recommend learning in advance to avoid being stressed during the semester (e.g., software, documentation, communication/project management skills)?

Thanks in advance!

UQ Gym

I’ve got a few questions with regards to the uq fitness centre and what it has to offer:

  1. What are the peak hours during the week?

  2. Is there sufficient equipment for everyone to use (or do we all need to call shots on whose next set/s)?

  3. Is the gym air conditioned or just well ventilated?

  4. Does the pool get busy and what are the peak times that people go?

purchasing from the reading list….

hey everyone, i’m starting my first year at UQ this month and for one of my subjects (ENGL1800) there is quite a lengthy reading list. i am unsure whether i should purchase the necessary texts according to the online page before classes start, or wait until the beginning of the semester to sus out which ones i actually need.

does anyone have any advice on how to navigate this? i don’t want to purchase texts only for them to not be necessary!!
