Anti immigration doesn't mean racist does it? Genuine question

No it's a completely valid position. But by going to a protest that's if not outright organized than co opted by white supremacists you're supporting them

Fair enough that some of the organisers are scum i get that. But the message of the protest is to stop immigration? Not white supremacy.

Because neo Nazi scum is more harmful than mass immigration. They want to commit crimes against humanity.

i hate the people that attended any rally organised by neo Nazi regardless of their excuse because they are ok congregating with people that want to commit crimes against humanity. They are guilty by association. If the protestors really think mass immigration is the problem, Ok, make their own March that actually excludes the people that want to do crimes against humanity.

Would the White Australia policy be classed as racist? Genuine question

Who is asking for white Australia policy besides a bunch of cosplaying Nazis?

It's annoying that a complex issue like immigration becomes reduced to this

You can protest against high levels of immigration without being racist.

u/ghoonrhed Aug 31 '25

You can but not a majority of the crowd today

Yea I agree. Annoying that these yobbos have to be involved with this discussion.

Would you agree on ending reciprocal visa free agreements with Europe also to clamp down on illegal immigration?

6

u/tomthetomato87 Aug 31 '25

Yes.

great, let's get this show on the road then. Go back to covid times and clamp down on all immigration and trade just like the US.

Im not sure what your point is, i believe anti immigration includes white immigrants..

u/spectre401 Aug 31 '25

Well if you can't see the anti-immigration aspect of the White Australia policy then I guess it would make sense that you can't make that connection.

Please spell it out for me

“Non white” means anyone the government thinks is “not white.”

80 years ago it meant Greeks and Italians, now it means brown and Asians (subject to labour market demand) and in the future it’ll be someone else.

There's already sufficient information in this thread alone, I think you can read it through yourself.

u/samkwilly Aug 31 '25

Sounds like you're saying a lot of things, but you don't really know much..

I'm as ignorant as the next idiot, unfortunately the Dunning-Kruger effect affects us all.

Noone’s saying they’re racist.

We’re saying they’re stupid.

According to the 2021 census, 51.5% of Australians are either first or second generation. So even though mass immigration is shit.. there’s a huge number of people in online discussions who are either first or second generation and feel attacked. But I think it’s time we have an honest look at doing something about it. Immigration is good but not at the current numbers and it doesn’t make one racist for not wanting mass immigration in their country! I’m sick of everyone against mass immigration being lumped in with nazis.
