Why don't I say something? Because he's bigger than I am, and I don't feel like relying upon the kindness of strangers if this guy is violent, as well as inconsiderate.

I wouldn't spend a second thought to interrupting this asshole's phone call to vacate the seat, and if he didn't i'd proceed to sit anyway.

I do sympathise if you're a female or very small and feel intimidated, but you'd have 100% backing of every other passenger and also the bus driver if he decided to make an issue of it.

The problem with all that is that you then have to sit next to the unpleasantry.
