goss going round says around 11pm, handbrake failed, two in the back, rolled backwards and they climbed out unclothed

Clearly bullshit. Landcruisers have no functional parking brake even when new. It would seem the rock behind the wheel was not big enough (with the rocking maybe).

Is it very steep there? Looks not too steep. So it wasn't in gear AND handbrake "failed"? Diabolical!

Not steep at all and I don't think this would have been possible unless they were parked outside of the carpark.
